According to a story By Dr. Jessica Vogelsang for Tulsa's Channel 6, allergies are one of the leading causes of vet visits, by pet owners. She cites flea, environmental and food allergies as the three most common allergies that dogs experience.

Vogelsang states that environmental allergies are the most common, but can sometimes be treated with topical ointments. At Kelly's Dazzle Dog Dog Grooming Spa, we offer several hypoallergenic solutions for your dog.

Flea allergies require the use a topical or oral flea treatment, available from your local veterinarian or dog grooming spa, to remove the fleas. According to Dr. Vogelsang, most dogs are highly allergic to fleas, and have a much more intense reaction to their saliva than the average human.

Food allergies tend to be difficult to diagnose, as they can manifest themselves in many different ways, and need to be diagnosed by means of an elimination diet.
